Caught by Dave from Minnesotta on April 28 - 29" 7.5lbs.
water temp. 50 degrees, outgoing current, partly cloudy

 

 

Frank Getschell on May 5th with a 15.8 lb, 32 inch striper. Water temperature was 53 degrees, fish caught on live eel in 27 feet of water.

 

May 8th

Don Piper from Valley Falls, New York fishing with the Albany Medical Group. A 32 lb. 39 inch striper caught on light weight casting tackle with 17 lb. test line. Nice catch Don!

John "Teach" Worobetz from New Jersey with a 39" striper taken on a live eel on Thursday May 11th south of the Esopus Light

 

Jeff Schleivecker - 34" weighing 28lbs. caught on Friday May 12 on the Kingston Flats

 

Rob Jackson from Brooklyn, New York landed this beauty on Saturday, May 13th in 30 feet of water at the end of the flood tide. It weighed in at 38 lbs. and was 37 inches long.

 

 

Pat Ryan from Bethpage, Long Island with a 37 inch, 28 lb. striper taken on the same trip with his buddy Rob.

 

Ralph from Westchester County pulled in this beauty 34 inches long and weighing 31 pounds on May 15th on the incoming. Ralph used a lightweight spinning rod with 8 lb. test line! Water temp is up to 63 degrees with some early indications of spawning.

 

Stan Licovitch with Capt. Pete and his 34 inch, 37 pounder caught on May 24th. Stans' buddy, Edward caught an identical fish a few minutes after this one. Water temp is down to 57 degrees with lots of fish still being marked.

 

 

Andy Geller and Dave Ornstein with two stripers weighing in excess of 30 pounds caught on May 26th. These fish were suspended at 20 feet in over 50 feet of water and went for live eels. Andy and Dave are from Albany, N.Y.

Jay Martin with one of many fluke caught on July 13th. Although loads of "shorts" were caught making the limit was no problem!

 

Joey Kavanagh from Huntingtown, Maryland with his first bluefish caught on July 25th trolling wire with a parachute jig.
