Hudson River
Striped Bass Fishing

As the warm air of spring begins
to temper the waters of the cold Hudson striped bass begin their
journey upstream to spawn. Small bass are seen first and as the
water temperature increases the larger fish follow - as far upstream
as Troy. It is this time of year that fishing for these game
fish on the Hudson River becomes exciting! Many of the large
bass run upwards to 40lbs. or more with catches in the 25 - 30
pound range not uncommon.
But the river is strange - spring
runoff can cause flooding of the feeder streams and the cold
water delays the river from warming. It can also cause turbidity
and debris to enter the river and interfere with fishing. We
at Osprey Marine are well aware of these conditions and can advise
our customers of the fishing prospectus at any time.
All equipment is provided and
with the amenities offered aboard Osprey your comfort and safety
is assured.
Rates for Hudson River fishing are $500.00 for a 5 hour
day from one to five individuals. Weekdays are the best time
to fish as the river is much less crowded. Weekend rates are
$550.00 for a 5 hour day from one to five individuals. A $100
deposit is required within one week of the booking
date. Booking dates begin in January and we book the second week
of May first as it is usually the most productive. The vessel
