both Karl and Steve are from New Paltz, New York

Joe Talasco from New Jersey with a "giant"

Long Island Sound 2001

George from Town of Cortland, N.Y. with two nice fluke!
Caught on June 13th - fluke season is off to a great start with most catches on this day being keepers.

"I got one!"

"I guess you did, Al." Nice striper taken at "The Elbow" on June 20th.

Steve King with a striper taken soon after Als' with his friend Joe in the background jigging for the next one.

Bill Karr from Wappingers Falls with two of the five keepers caught on Long Sand Shoal on Monday July 9th

Bob Creeden, Hudson River regional editor for Nor'east Saltwater Fisherman hooked up with a double on an umbrella rig. At 5:30am there were blues on the surface for acres!

Tim Clay from Athens, N.Y. with another bluefish hookup. Tim and Bob were into blufish for over four hours, most running in the three to four pound range. I have never seen so many for so long a duration; this promises to be a great season!

Dr. Katherine Clark from New Paltz with her frist striped bass taken on August 17th at "the elbow". Bass and blues were thick at daybreak with hookups going on for over three hours on the incoming. Nice going Kasia!

Ralph Abrams from New York City with another bass during the same trip.

"Forget the camera, let me get this fish in"

Brad Fishel from Manhattan with a nice blue taken in deep water with a bunker chunk - blues bite so Capt. Pete is holding it.

Scott (on the far left) and his wedding party from Staten Island. These guys were great and we caught fish as well.

There's one guy missing - I think they threw him overboard!

Christian Kane with a striper caught jigging at the Elbow on September 23rd. There were loads of bass on the bottom and they finally got turned on about two hours into the flood tide.

Brendon Maum from Greenwich, Ct. with two of many nice blues caught on October 4th. Live bunker was the bait of the day with Clinton Harbor still full of them. Bass were the original target but keeping these large blues from the bait was a problem.

When the fishing stops we start hunting. Captain Pete with a ten pointer taken on Thanksgiving morning.
